Our outreach staffs are trained by local healthcare professionals such as a midwife, a skilled birth attendant,
or a professional doctor or physician assistant in order to assist, educate, and advocate for women and their families in regard to their basic needs. In addition, they receive continuing education training, and in-services regularly by international and local healthcare professionals. Part of their training allows them to organize community meetings, hold health education classes to discuss different health related topics.
Types of education programs:
- Motherhood classes
- Healthy pregnancy classes
- Child development classes
- Healthy teens classes
These classes are conducted in local language, culture-specific contents.
The goal of these education programs are to challenge participants to identify harmful health practices, and are encouraged to abandon them; and to reinforce healthy behaviors. The classes are free; however a voluntary donation is requested from participants who have more financial power.
